Septic Services in Des Moines

Quoted from the website of Bob's Septic & Portable Restroom Service, read 15 Sept 2026.

Bob's provides septic tank pumping, hydro-jetting and Time of Transfer inspections. Hydro-jetting uses high-pressure water to clear lines and remove buildup inside pipes. For installation and drainfield work, local ground conditions matter because water leaves much of the rated ground around Des Moines too slowly.

Absolutely the worst service. They knew my husband was on his deathbed when I called them for help in October 2025 with a septic tank in a rental house i need to sell due to my husband's illness and soon there after his demise. I had to pay for the entire job up front before they would even put me on the schedule. Im still waiting. There was more than one period of time the ground was NOT froze. (I proved that to them.) Would not give me an explanation why it couldn't get done.

Local Ground

Around Des Moines, the main drain-field limit is slow water movement: water leaves the soil too slowly for a conventional field to keep up. Site conditions on any one lot can differ from the map. See the Des Moines city page for the full soil profile.
