About Abbotts Septic Services

From the website of Abbotts Septic Services, read 15 Sept 2026. It describes what the company says it offers, not independent verification.

Abbotts Septic Services pumps septic tanks for homes and businesses and takes emergency pump-out calls for the times a system backs up without warning. Scheduled maintenance is available too, and the company designs and installs complete septic systems for new construction.

Septic Services in Nokomis

Quoted from the website of Abbotts Septic Services, read 15 Sept 2026.

Repairs and ongoing maintenance sit alongside the pumping and installation work, and the company says its system installs are designed to meet state and county regulations while fitting the specific needs of the property. The mapped soil around Nokomis is rated very limited for septic absorption fields across all of the rated ground, with the water table sitting too high as the main limit, a condition a new system's design has to work around.

My experience with Abbot Construction customer relations was extremely disappointing. Communication was poor, responses were slow, and when we did receive replies, they were often unhelpful or dismissive. For a company that operates in a service-driven industry, the lack of professionalism and accountability was surprising. Instead of working toward resolving concerns, the process felt frustrating and unnecessarily difficult. Basic follow-up and customer care seemed to be lacking, which made what should have been a straightforward interaction much more stressful than it needed to be.

Response from the owner

We’re sorry to hear that you feel this way about your experience. At Abbotts' Construction, we take communication and customer service seriously and always aim to work with our clients to resolve concerns. In this situation, our records show that multiple attempts were made to contact you by both phone and text regarding the outstanding balance and project follow-up. Our office staff sent you six emails and 5 phone calls before the lien was filed. Our Marine Division Manager texted and called you after the job was completed to be sure of your satisfaction. Unfortunately, we did not receive a response. Because the invoice remained unpaid and communication attempts were unsuccessful, a lien was filed as required to protect our work and services. We are always willing to communicate and work toward solutions when clients stay in contact with us. If you would like to discuss the matter further or resolve the outstanding balance, we remain available to do so.

Below might not be east to read, but it is extremely complimentary of Abbott’s Construction Company. They built a new sea wall at our Siesta Key Gulf front home and we couldn’t be more pleased with every aspect of the job and that extends to quality of both the work and the workers, starting and finishing on time, communication with management and cost.

Response from the owner

Thank you so much, it has been a pleasure working with you.

We hired this company to perform the demolition of our home. What followed was one of the most unprofessional experiences we have ever had in a construction project. They represented one scope of work to our builder and then delivered something materially different. When the discrepancy was raised, instead of addressing the issue or standing behind what had been communicated, they hid behind selective contract language and refused accountability. Even more concerning was their conduct regarding access to our property.

Response from the owner

We take feedback seriously and would like to clarify several points for transparency. Our company was contracted directly by your builder on this project, not the homeowner. Our company provided two separate proposals to your builder. One estimate was for the demolition of the existing house and the other estimate covered the site work for the new construction. It appears there was discussion between yourself and your builder regarding a scope of work during the demo portion of work that was never included in our demolition proposal and may have been included in your site proposal that we were never contracted to do. Our company fulfilled our contracted scope of work in full and completed the project ahead of schedule, including making additional efforts during the holidays to finish before the end of the year to keep the house from showing on your 2026 property taxes. Regarding the gate incident: there was an accidental impact with a temporary construction gate while maneuvering equipment. The situation was immediately reported to your builder’s supervisor, and we requested an invoice for the repair. The cost of the damage was subsequently deducted from our final payment. At no time did our team attempt to force entry onto the property. We stand behind the work we performed under our contract and remain committed to professionalism, communication, and accountability on every project.

Customer reviews tend to name the people who did the work. Cory thanks Walter Bates and Dustin for a week when they "went above and beyond", and Harrison sends a big thank you to Ken for his help.

Florida Septic Tank Contracting Business Authorizations11 Sept 2026

We searched the Florida Septic Tank Contracting Business Authorizations register and found no match for this company. That register covers septic tank installation and repair, and pumping-only operators are regulated separately, so an absence here does not mean the company is unlicensed.

Local Ground

Around Nokomis, the main drain-field limit is a high water table: the saturated zone sits too close to the surface for a conventional field. Site conditions on any one lot can differ from the map. See the Nokomis city page for the full soil profile.

Before You Call

The practical decision for a tank owner is between calling for an emergency pump out once the system is already backing up and putting a maintenance schedule in place so it never gets that far. Abbotts handles both, and one fair question for the phone call is how often they would recommend pumping a tank for a household of your size.
