I recently had my septic tank serviced by this company, and while the service itself was completed, I was disappointed by what happened afterward. When the technician left, the septic tank lids had not been properly secured. The screws were left sitting in the lids instead of being fastened, leaving the covers unsecured. As someone with children at home, I immediately recognized this as a serious safety hazard. I called the company as soon as I noticed the issue to make them aware. I explained that I had kids in the house and that the unsecured lids posed an immediate risk.

Thank you for your feedback. We take safety concerns very seriously, and we'd like to provide some additional context regarding this situation. When you called, it was after our technicians had completed their routes for the day, returned to our yard, and gone home. While we understand your concern, dispatching a technician back out after hours would have required an emergency service call, which typically carries an additional fee. Rather than passing that cost on to you, we scheduled the return visit for the following morning at no charge. As promised, our technician returned the next day, properly secured the septic tank lids, and also inspected and secured your other tank lids to ensure everything was safe before leaving. We certainly regret that the lids were not fully secured during the initial visit, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention. While mistakes can occasionally happen, we stand behind our work and addressed the issue promptly at no cost to you. We are also using this as an opportunity to reinforce our procedures with our technicians to help prevent similar situations in the future. We appreciate your business and the opportunity to make the situation right.

Eric arrived when he was scheduled to, looked over the septic site, and got down to business. Pumped out the tank, reset a float in the leach tank, and got everything done correctly and promptly. Zuidema was nice to work with and kept track of all the notes that I gave them on distance to the tank, slope, etc. Good experience, I'll remember them the next time I need septic service.

Mr. Zuidema, has and exceptional Company. Not only is he personally remarkable and takes the time to speak to his customers, his company really cares…for real! From the Receptionist, the supervisor Robert and the New Tech Johan, who is new and you would never know, we recommend the Zuidema Septic Company Highly!! They will not disappoint. If I could give more than 5 stars , I would. Thank you Zuidema Team!!
