A solid five stars for this one! If I could give more than five stars, I would. Yesterday, an exterminator working in our crawl space noticed the smell of gas. Huge thanks to him for recognizing it and telling us. It (obviously) could have been a very serious situation. We called another company first, but they wanted to charge a significant amount just to perform a leak test, and they couldn’t even come out until Tuesday ( it’s Saturday now). Their technician actually recommended Stemmle, and we’re incredibly grateful he did.

Response from the owner

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this incredible review! We truly appreciate your kind words and are grateful that you trusted Stemmle during such an important and potentially dangerous situation. We’re thankful the gas odor was discovered quickly and that our team was able to respond promptly, locate the source of the leak, and complete the repair the same day. Situations involving gas require urgency, attention to detail, and a high level of care, and we’re proud that Brian was able to provide the professional service and confidence you needed. We will be sure to share your recognition with Brian. He represents exactly what we strive for at Stemmle, being knowledgeable, dependable, and treating every customer’s home as if it were our own. Thank you for choosing Stemmle Plumbing and for making us your trusted plumbing company. We truly appreciate your business and look forward to being there whenever you need us!

Stemmel plumbers of Hampton roads were on time, courteous, and respectful in taking off their boots and wearing shoes or booties in the attic and not to dirty my house. My spouse was with them initially and my husband said they explained what they were doing. One was a senior guy of 17 years and the other was a junior names Josh & Chris. They ROCK! I asked one of them about the washer plumbing and he heard what I had to say, instead of trying to pull the wool over my eyes, he was HONEST! He said it sounds like an appliance problem and not a plumbing problem if all else was working.

I had an active leak in some of my interior pipes that I was unable to get another company to take care of quickly. I called Stemmle and they had a team out to my home in about an hour. They called me en route to confirm the details of the job and to try to ensure they had all the needed parts on hand. I received a quote and they performed the work quickly. They were friendly, explained what they were doing, and answered my questions. Very responsive and reliable if you are in need of rapid assistance.

Before You Call

A pump-out is easy to postpone until drains slow, so the practical decision for an owner is timing: whether this is the year the tank gets pumped or the job waits. If a house closing is setting the date, ask the office when the earliest opening for a pump-out falls.
