Long and short we were due for a pumpout...overdue as we found out. But anyway we used a different company before (septic blue) that was terrible in many ways. So called these guys. Prompt service, fair price, and pointed out as seen in pic that both sides of the tank needed to be pumped which the other company never did. Anyway absolutely our new go-to company and cannot recommend enough!

I'm in the process of moving from out of state to Apex, NC. Chris @ Septic Innovations has been instrumental in helping me deal with a complicated septic issue at the property. He even went out on a Saturday to get my inspection done, as I'm in a due diligence time crunch. He's made himself available via text, email, & phone calls. I'm angling for a seller credit solely so that I have the ability to hire him to complete the job.

A little over a week ago, I heard this loud buzzing coming from outside. When I found the source I had to Google how to stop the sound coming from my septic tank (the silence switch was on the side of the panel). Frantic knowing I had 9 houseguests arriving the next day, I contacted Chris at Septic Innovations. Chris put me at ease immediately reassuring me I could continue with my loads of laundry until he could come by the following morning. To my surprise at 8am he had already arrived and was pumping my septic tank and assessing the problem.

After getting a price to replace my collapsed septic tank from another company I contacted Chris at Septic Innovations. Chris gave me a price that was $3K less. Our house is a rental and we had some time to get this work done. When we got an unexpected rental that was beginning very soon I contacted Chris with some urgency to get it installed quicker than originally anticipated. Chris reworked his schedule and got the tank installed before the renters showed, Chris had a 4 day window and still pulled this off.

From the Google listing, checked 30 Aug 2026.

Reviews repeatedly name owner Chris Robbins and describe how fast he shows up. Ken's alarm went off on a Friday holiday weekend, and he writes that Chris was "out that afternoon" to fix it. Melissa caught a tank alarm the night before nine guests arrived, and by 8 the next morning Chris was pumping the tank, replacing the failed pump and sending her photos and video from inside it. Bigger jobs show up too. Ryan, buying a house from out of state, says Chris came out on a Saturday to finish the inspection inside a tight due diligence window. Ross had an old unused tank dug out and hauled away ahead of a home addition.

Local Ground

Around Wake Forest, the main drain-field limit is slow water movement: water leaves the soil too slowly for a conventional field to keep up. Site conditions on any one lot can differ from the map. See the Wake Forest city page for the full soil profile.

Before You Call

If a closing date is on your calendar, the decision is whether to book the point-of-sale septic inspection early enough that the report lands inside your due diligence window. Ask how soon Chris can get it on the schedule. For a system that is already failing, the same company installs new systems and handles repairs.
