About Nico Septic Inspections, Inc.

From the website of Nico Septic Inspections, Inc., read 15 Sept 2026. It describes what the company says it offers, not independent verification.

Nico Septic Inspections, Inc. performs septic inspections, and much of that work comes up around a home sale, when a buyer or seller needs to know the state of the system before closing. We used Nico Septic Inspections for two home inspections. Mike was extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly, and helped us tremendously in our information-gathering process.

Called Nico Inspections on a holiday weekend and Mike picked up right away. I spoke with him for about 10 minutes and scheduled a septic inspection. I have never done a septic inspection before or have any septic knowledge and Mike sounded very professional and knowledgeable. We had the inspection a few days later and he arrived on time and was able to find all the hidden tanks, pumps, etc. He was efficient and video scoped everything, took photos, and helped me understand how septic and leech fields work.

Needed a septic inspection appointment last minute as the home purchasing process is fast paced. They were able to come - were perfectly on time - and did a thorough inspection that aided well in our negotiation process. Very personable and responsive. Will recommend to all of our friends house hunting.

I was a seller when Mike inspected. Told myself and the buyers what was wrong. A straight shooter.

Septic system inspection was performed at this time as we are buying a new home. Mike was very thorough in the work he performed. Also very detailed in explaining everything to us. Great communication. Answers phone and replies instantly. 5+ stars

From the Google listing, checked 30 Aug 2026.

Customers keep landing on the same name in their reviews: Mike, the inspector who answers the phone and then does the work. Nathaniel wrote that he called over a holiday weekend, Mike picked up right away and the inspection happened a few days later. Those reviews describe a camera run through the system, hidden tanks and pumps located, and photos taken of what turned up. Victoria needed a septic inspection on short notice during a fast home purchase and later described the crew as "perfectly on time". Rob, buying a house, says an inspection traced water in the backyard to a compromised distribution box and gave him grounds to negotiate. Seif was the seller in another deal and says Mike told both sides plainly what was wrong.

Before You Call

A septic problem that surfaces after closing belongs to the new owner, so the decision in front of a buyer is whether to order a septic inspection before the sale is final. Sellers face the same choice from the other side, since handing over a current report settles the septic question before negotiation starts. When you call, one question worth asking is how soon an inspection can be scheduled, because purchase timelines can be tight.
