As a quick note on septic system maintenance, your garbage disposal system helps separate fats, greases, and food particles before they enter your aerobic septic system. While solid food particles break down over time, an excessive amount can lead to buildup, clogs, and system inefficiencies. It is uncommon for a septic system to develop such a significant buildup of solids in the aerobic trash tank within just a year of installation (03/05/2024), especially for a household of two. This suggests that excessive food waste may have contributed to the issue, as septic systems are not designed to process large amounts of food through a garbage disposal. While the nature of the failure was not due to a warrantable issue, we are pleased that we were able to get your aerobic septic system back up and running.
