I only call Alternate Systems for any repairs/issues. Everyone that works here is honest and is willing to explain your system, the pros and cons. I appreciate everyone here and have been a customer for the last 5 years. Thank you so much!

With the desire to install an in-ground pool, we found that our 41 year old septic field lines were too close to the area designated for the pool. We contacted several septic companies who came out after the city environmental representative refused an approval for the pool. The ONLY company that used the septic map to measure and draw the septic lines in our yard was Alternate Systems. After many repeat discussion with the various septic companies, we decided to use Alternate Systems. The owner, Stephen Ward gave us straight forward advice that was coroborated by the city environmental rep.

I’ve called this company multiple times and left voicemails inquiring about their services but have never received a call back. Many people have referred me to this business, specifically to Steven, but the lack of responsiveness is frustrating. My husband even visited their office in person and left his contact information a month ago, yet we still haven’t received any follow-up. This level of unresponsiveness is disappointing especially for a highly recommended business.

Professional and truthful. Helped solve our septic issues we had multiple others work on before. We have not had a single issue in the 3 plus years since Mr Ward came and fixed our issue. Highly recommend

From the Google listing, checked 30 Aug 2026.

Stephen Ward and his crew install pump septic systems, replace damaged field lines, and repair distribution boxes. Ryan noted that Stephen "communicated every step of the way" while setting up a pump system on his property. On one drain field replacement, the crew completed the excavation and line installation in a single day. Most homeowners praise the crew for diagnosing difficult septic backups and explaining how the yard functions. One customer, Nashua, reported that a newly installed tank failed to fill properly and an original tank went unpumped.
